After 30 years I really don't know who shot my father.

It's very hard because my family asked me why you were in the street and your father died because of that.

I hope he forgave me because he went after me and after all my mother lost a very good husband.

In November 1989, Down came the Berlin Wall and the communist regimes in the former Eastern block started falling like dominoes.

Nikolai Chichesku's Romania was renowned for being the odd one out.

But in the middle of December, a small-scale demonstration over the attempted arrest of a Hungarian priest in the better-connected west of the country quickly turned into a large-scale revolt against the system.

As the number of protesters snubled, the regime doubled down and called in the security forces, including the army, and issued the fatal open-fire order Radu-Celfrumos.

In Timishwara, where the rebellion began, 78 people were shot dead.

Soren Opera, then a factory worker, was one of the first on the streets.

How could they shoot with a live ammunition?
