My name is Oli Dugmore.

My guest today, at one point in his life,

was probably best known for being the son

of an 80s music icon.

But that was then, and this is now.

Today, he's an accomplished presenter

and mental health campaigner.

After seven years, helping the capital FM breakfast show,

he was recently announced as the one show's new co-host.

It was a capital that he messaged best friend

and producer Joe Lyons, who tragically took his own life

in 2020.

Since then, my guest mental health campaigning

has seen him open up about his own experience

with depression, revealing that he, too,

once found himself considering the devastating decision

to end his own.

His recently released documentary, The Fight for Young Lives,

is his second, Exploring Mental Health,

and dives deeper into how the issue is approached

by schools, the NHS, and government.
