0:14.9	being your host. Further Gospel is all about sound doctrine for every day. People, that's
0:21.4	what we aim to provide. And on this particular episode today, I want to talk to you about
0:25.6	the differences between Roman Catholicism and Protestant Christianity. The reason is that
0:34.0	there are over a billion Catholics in the world today, professing Catholics. And there's
0:39.0	a lot of noise right now. And there has been for many decades an ecumenical movement
0:45.7	that is seeking to bring together Catholics and Christians and would claim that we're
0:49.7	all of the same faith. And we really believe in the same God and we're all part of the
0:55.1	church. We just have some different ways that we apply things. And I would say it is of the
0:59.7	utmost importance that a Christian understands the differences between Roman Catholicism and what
1:05.6	they teach and what the Bible actually teaches and what biblical Christianity truly is. The doctrine
1:14.4	of justification by faith has divided the Catholic church and the Protestant church since the
1:20.1	Reformation. This is undeniable. But the differences between Catholicism and Christianity go much
1:27.6	deeper than just justification by faith. Not that that isn't enough. In fact, it is enough.
1:33.9	It's a core tenant of the Gospel and it is a tier one essential. For more on that, you can
1:39.4	listen to a previous episode called What is Justification by Faith that we did here at FTG.
1:45.8	But for our purposes now, I want to walk you through 15 points of heresy that the Catholic
1:52.0	church teaches. And I'm not just going to give you some hearsay or my opinion. I'm going to read
1:58.4	direct quotes from the Roman Catholic church catacism. I'm taking these from a dear brother in the
