Hello and welcome to Sociology 101. Today we're

going to look at Romans chapter 9. Now early in my podcast, I did go line by line through Romans

9 in a podcast. That was before the publishing of my book, The Potters Promise, which actually

started out as just a commentary for Romans 9 and then expanded to include my testimony

and some other passages of scripture with regard to why I left Calvinism.

It is a biblical defense of traditional sociology.

Before it was that, however, it was basically just the commentary on Romans 9,

which is really Chapter 5 of the book now. So if you're wanting this, what we're about to go through,

broadcast. And the reason I'm doing this is because it's probably one of the most asked questions that I get on a regular basis is how do you deal with Romans 9 if you're not a Calvinist?

Because to some people, when they read Romans 9, especially if being led by a Calvinist in the reading of Romans 9, it's hard to walk away not thinking it's about what Calvinists think it's about.

And therefore, it's a kind of a major proof text for Calvinism.

And that's why I want to go over this real clearly today through my book
