but then, of course, the Supreme Court decision was leaked, which, if finalized, would overturn

Roe v. Wade and KCV.V. Planned Parenthood, making the already very inaccessible and expensive

right to an abortion in the United States no longer stand.

There is a lot to say about this.

Most importantly, I think that this is an urgent time to put political and social pressure against the court.

But for our part, we thought the best sort of discursive role we could play here is in unlocking a conversation we actually had about this exact case

back in December.

And after our brief chat here, what you're going to hear in the rest of the episode is a conversation

we had with friend of the panel, Abby Cardis, where we did a deep dive on the oral arguments

presented in this case, Dobbs v. Jackson. Yeah, and for those of you who might be ready to turn

off the podcast now, because you might think that by listening to the oral

arguments is somehow giving credence to any legit the court having any sort of legitimacy

or the idea that arguments in this case really matter or that like what's really going on

here is some sort of like debate about ideas.

Not of that is a naked exercise of political power.

Yeah.
