Hello and a very warm welcome to film stories with Simon Brew.

I am Simon Brew.

As always, that's absolutely everything you need to know about me.

The podcast, though, while we're here to talk of the stories of film,

the production stories, development stories, behind the scenes, bits and bulbs,

all those little contributory parts that go to make the films that we know and sometimes love,

just that, the films that we know and sometimes love.

I'm rounding off a 2019 episode of film stories with one more special and so shortly I'm

going to play in my conversation with director Dexter Fletcher where we talk about Rocket Man where we

talk about Sunshine on Leith where we talk about Ed of the Eagle. We talk about all sorts of things

really. But I did want to front load this particular episode of film stories and just really to say

thank you for the incredible support you've all given me over the course of the last 12 months

that this is my first full year of podcasting. I think we've put out nearly 60 podcasts this year.
