Hey guys, welcome to another edition of the five star zone.

Rico Beard, Harold Shelton, the third from the Big Ten Network senior research manager,

joining us for this episode.

And Harold, man, man, man, the Big Ten.

Now, before we get into specific games, a buddy of mine brought this point up to me,

and maybe you would know, because you know the numbers.

A lot of low-scoring games, especially locally here in the state.

Our team's starting to get tired from the 20-game grind of the big 10 season and really not a lack of

depth on you know for a lot of teams like MSU can go deep but they can't hit three so that's kind of

the counterbalance to them is that the reason why we're seeing such low scores all of a sudden that

you know teams are just kind of running out of steam?

I think the two games this week were kind of more outliers because if you look elsewhere,

like Penn State, Indiana had no problem getting up and down.

Ohio State and USC had no problem getting up and down.

I think Ohio State got to weigh 87. I think it was

8782 last night and Penn State, Indiana was in the 80s as well. So I just think this was one

of those games, at least for Michigan State, Maryland, where both teams played really good defense.

And I think that the energy, the magnitude of the game kind of had everybody a little too hyped up.

And it took a while for teams to settle down.

And, you know, the second half, I feel like teams were kind of doing what they normally do.

I mean, both of them scored in the 30s in the second half.
