But here's the question I'd have to ask.

If Ben Johnson, three days ago, said,

man, I love my time in Detroit.

Jared Gough and I were buds.

We talk all the time, yada, yada, yada.

You know, Dan's my man and all that stuff.

And didn't mention the stuff that he mentioned about Penae Sewell,

having a better pass on the move than Jared Goff, would we have heard

the rhetoric today? Would people consider him trash if he had nice things to say? No.

No, I don't think so. I think that they're upset because he kind of says some of the quiet

parts out loud. And though he may have said it in a joking manner, these are conversations that probably went on privately that they talked about Jerry Kauf.

And they talked about different things.

And Stony, I think it boils down to it's the old, you know what, I can talk about my family, but you can't talk about my family but you can't talk about my family

I can say things about right you know what goes on behind closed doors but it's not your job

and now he's an outsider now he's no longer in the family he's on the outside and not only that

he's in the division right so that's you know he literally is across the street and saying, yeah, I made this offense, not Jared Gaw.

Right.

And look, there's, as we've seen throughout the history of the NFL and other sports as well, just because you are a really good coordinator does not mean you're going to be a really

successful head coach. And conversely, sometimes guys who get head coaching jobs who've never been

coordinators like John Harbaugh, like Andy Reed, become really good head coaches. You never know.
