And if you want to increase the likelihood that law can commit a crime and then not be held accountable or responsible for that crime,

have the police employ robot police dogs.

Unsurprisingly a lot of people are very unhappy

about the very idea of robot police dogs.

Even more unsurprising, the people who are the least happy about the concept are

marginalized people, people of color and those living in, let's say, less than

privileged communities. You know the people who the police always target first when employing any new police technology.

Sure, it makes sense to deploy robot dogs when rescuing people following earthquakes and other disasters as well as

dismantling bombs. But doing the job of police, and here's something that makes it even more frightening. The

public doesn't necessarily know if their local cops have robot police dogs.

Can you imagine not knowing your local police have

robot police dogs and all of a sudden you're confronted by a four-legged robot barking commands at you?
