Summary

Retired intelligence Detective Gary Jenkins interviews one of the most famous yet unknown undercover agents in the United States. Robert Mazur started his law enforcement career with the US Customs, the IRS, and the Drug Enforcement Administration over a 25-year career. He was one of the first agents to work “deep cover.” This means he lived out his part and did not go home from the office, like FBI Agent Joe Pistone. Robert Mazur will learn how to launder illegally derived cash and has become one of the world’s leading experts on underworld financial shenanigans. Over his long and storied career, Robert Mazur worked five years as a deep undercover agent for US, UK, French, and other agencies. Robert shares his insights on how this world works as he recounts his unique and dangerous experiences. Robert Mazur has written two books containing many exciting stories of his adventures working long-term undercover infiltrations. In THE INFILTRATOR, Mazure tells how he worked his way up to have face-to-face dealings with people who reported directly to Pablo Escobar.  During this time, he began to have illicit dealings with bankers associated with the Bank of Credit & Commerce International (BCCI), the 7th largest privately held institution in the world. He exposed how corrupt bankers helped launder billions for drug traffickers, illegal arms dealers, terrorists, tax evaders, corrupt third-world leaders, and other criminals. This book was made into a major motion picture with the same name and starred Bryan Cranston. In his second book, THE BETRAYAL , Robert Mazur tells how a corrupt federal agent almost cost him his life.   Support the Podcast Hit me up on Venmo for a cup of coffee or a shot and a beer @ganglandwireClick here to “buy me a cup of coffee” To go to the store or make a donation or rent Ballot Theft: Burglary, Murder, Coverup  click here To rent Brothers against Brothers, the documentary, click here.  To rent Gangland Wire, the documentary, click here To buy my Kindle book, Leaving Vegas: The True Story of How FBI Wiretaps Ended Mob Domination of Las Vegas Casinos.
