Hey everybody, this is Rob Leifeld. Welcome to another edition of Robeservations. Thank you so much for

joining me for each and every episode that we have done, that we have recorded. You guys have been my passengers along this crazy journey, started this

again in a pandemic in isolation with a desire to talk about my love of comics, the history

of comics as I've experienced them. And lo and behold, that has landed us on 50 episodes today and with this episode

50 episodes i cannot even begin to believe that i have done 50 of these and that you have

listened to 50 of these and i just thank you so much for all the feedback all all the warm, generous input that you have given me,

the enthusiasm. It is so appreciated. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I appreciate

all of the support that you've given this podcast in these last few months since we launched. And so today,

what are I going to do for 50 episodes, right? I thought I should do something special. And

that's something special turned out to be securing an interview with someone who is not only a dear friend of mine, but someone who I believe is the most important

comic book creator of the last 20 years. Yes, I believe that Robert Kirkman of Walking Dead,

of Invincible, of Oblivion Song, of Super Dinosaur, Wolfman, Capes, you name it. Robert has written it. He had a tenure at

Marvel. He has, at a young age, burst on the scene, grabbed the attention of guys like myself.

At a time, I think I was probably beginning to become jaded with comic books

as people do after being in the industry for so long. And I discovered this fresh young voice

named Robert Kirkman, who really punched me in the face with Invincible Number One and then

carried on with everything after,

which is, of course, Walking Dead and all the titles that I've already listed,

currently writing Firepower and just so many great comics over the years.
