It's not easy, and I don't even know with myself what I'm going to be asked to do and do to help, but I'll be there.

Irma's destruction left pure devastation in her path, taking lives and tearing away homes.

Irma also struck at the heart of the economic engine for so much of the Caribbean,

the Virgin Islands, and Florida.

Tourism.

On the island of Barbuda, 95% of the structures were destroyed, according to the Prime Minister.

And now, Hollywood legend Robert De Niro, who is building a luxury hotel on Barbuda,

says it is incumbent on all of us to help the island.

As devastating as it is and as terrible as it is, it will come back.

He also weighed in on this moment in America.

Will we come together or be further divided?

And his message for President Trump.

I wish it were under better circumstances.

But you're here for a cause that the world needs to know more about and not forget about.

For anyone that doesn't know you outside of your career and your films, you're a man who

rebuilt. I mean, you were integral in helping rebuild Manhattan, my home, lower Manhattan

after 9-11. Your mission today is the island of Barbuda after Irma. What does it mean to you?

Well, I've been working on a project there for a few years.
