0:10.0

Thanks for being on, Robbie.

0:12.0

Special in a special kind of way, maybe.

0:15.0

Yeah, thanks for coming on, dude.

0:18.0

Yeah, dude, I got to contrast this a little bit how this came together because I've done quite a few podcasts. And, you know, when most of the times I go on a podcast, a couple weeks ahead, I get an email, hey, dude, can you come on? You know, here's some dates. Here's some times. You know, what works. And then, you know, you accept. And then you get, you know, another call or an email. here's the outline here's some questions you know, what works, and then, you know, you accept, and then you get, you know, another call or an email. Here's the outline. Here's some questions. You know, what do you think? You want to add some, delete some. You know, you think about it for a week or so. But Aaron's podcast, no, no, you get up at 5 o'clock in the morning and you're trying to make coffee and you push the button on your phone

to turn it on and bam here's three texts hey dude what are you doing are you awake what's going on hey man can you do a podcast in a little bit hey where are you hey what's going on and then by the time you kind of get your thoughts here yeah i think i can do it you've missed the bus man Aaron is on to something else. If you don't respond by 7 a.m., you're, your toes. So I'm glad we finally got

together. How many times? is on to something else. If you're, if you don't respond by 7 a.m., you're,

1:15.6

your toast. So I'm glad we finally got together. How many times have we tried?

1:23.2

I have four or five. I mean, but, you know, Frank is a mule deer fanatic too. So, you know,

1:35.6

Frank has wanted to get you on for a while. But Frank's schedule, you know, like, he was on an Idaho hunt and I was back and that was a time when I actually probably could have got you on, but then Frank wasn't here.

1:40.4

And then the next time Frank was here, but you were hunting and I had to leave.

1:46.9

And so by the time you could do it, which was like 11 or 12 I I bounced or whatever so which is like midnight there I just figured out I just need to start getting up at 1 a.m.

1:53.2

It's right. Anyway, here we are. Yeah. Well I you know kind of as a brief beginning to this I guess guess, is, you know, originally I had met, I'd known of Robbie for a long time just through the industry in the mule deer world. But you were a big part of Rockslide. The website, when it started, you didn't initially start as an owner, David Long and I and Ryan started it,

2:20.2

but you came an owner quickly after that.

2:23.6

And that's kind of how you and I met.

2:25.7

You were, I guess, the Mule Deer editor initially.

2:30.0

Is that correct?

2:31.2

Yeah, you know, I think David was the Mildare editor, but he wanted me to come on and just, you know, kind of support that, help him a little bit, get some more content out there. And then, you know, as you know, within just a couple of months, I was doing a lot more than just that. But yeah, that's how it started. You nailed it. Yeah, and Rockslides obviously doing very well now.

2:51.2

I don't get on there as much, mostly because I don't want to deal with it,

2:54.8

but it is a great resource for gear information and tech tips, and classifieds are insane.

3:03.5

And you do get a lot of reviews on things that are a little bit harder to find that are, I guess you could say, more realistic reviews from people actually use them in the field more than a day, which is nice.

3:15.5

You guys have done very well with it.
