Welcome back to Kaffiru cast everyone. It's a couple days after Thanksgiving and I just got back from

0:06.7

hunting with Brian Broderick and Oklahoma and Brian was happy and nice enough to grace us with his presence today and I appreciate you coming on man.

0:15.8

You bet. Thanks a lot. I was hoping to get at least a break from you after spending a week with you but I guess two days as much as I guess.

0:25.4

That's all you get. The you're out at your ranch in Alabama right now aren't you? Yeah well in the in the Western Midwest and Western states there are branches in the South they're farms you have to get your terminology correct.

0:43.4

Yeah I get all funked up. Yeah I'm out here now getting. I'm trying to get a bearing on what the deer doing here and getting stand set up so when you and Franklin come down in December we'll be ready to get active in those.

1:02.4

Gotcha cool cool well before we get into the Oklahoma Alabama white tail stuff how's the arrow business going I mean we got a ton of questions while we were out there about the arrow so.

1:16.4

I mean are you liking it so far as it going as well as you thought it would. Oh yeah well I mean it's definitely going way better than I thought it would honestly it's certainly exceeded my expectations.

1:30.4

I was such a short short amount of time here.

1:35.4

And you know you and I both seem to get is I think you get as many questions about them as I do because you know people see you using them way more than anybody else so.

1:46.4

I know it's kind of driven you crazy I really appreciate you helping me out with it filled in all the questions well yes good treat tree stand time is good killing time on the phone and I the only thing I screwed up was a coyote being on my phone so wasn't.

1:59.4

Wasn't wasn't too bad but I am you know we did the podcast earlier on F.O.C. and you know we've done a bunch we're going to get you know kick out here soon on bear shaft tuning but I mean the you know the the podcast even I did definitely went the best or got the most downloads and I get the question you know to this day of of the speed versus arrow weight thing like why did I never really.

2:28.4

Worry about speed so much and you know when you look at well you shot a buck and we'll get into that in a minute but you run right through it and you're shooting what 48 50 pound what are you shooting that one's 54 don't try to sell me short so 54 and how much is your air away that arrow was five 60.

2:54.4

Yeah so you're you're about where I'm at I think I'm five 68 or 572 you know when I'm well that one the second buck I broke its offside you know leg and then my first book I shot the first time and when it only went maybe 80 yards or less but it still had a little life left in it and I put one actually in its neck because that's all I could see when it stood up and that.

3:24.4

Was pretty devastating going through all that as well out of a of a recurve and I've always just had way better luck with a quiet bow and a heavy arrow flying you know straight and it seems like people are starting to get that idea I mean what what do you get the most questions about as far as just fine and components or anything I mean yeah well the number the number one question I get is is your chart.

3:54.4

Your spine chart figured for your weight component because our outstarts weigh 50 grains and 100 and so you know that's the main question I get and I tell them yes that the original spine chart is made for the it was figured with the 50 grain out serve now since I've gotten so many questions about the 100 grain stuff to I've now added a second set of fine charts.

4:24.4

For the 100 grain out certain components or the half out component whichever they choose so now both of them are there the second question I get the most is is that I'm just not sure what I should really be getting my bow is.

4:42.4

You know this bow this model this way that this draw what do you recommend and that's the really the easiest thing for people to do because I can just very quickly respond and say yep this is what you want because now we've set up so many guys believe it or not it's just about every spec somebody sends me we've already set up 10 guys with the same exact both same draw and same same draw weight so.

5:11.4

Pretty easy to get people where they need to be you know with the right air choice.

5:15.4

Yeah oh yeah now I agree and saying my there's not too many I mean plus or minus quarter inch and arrow link through a couple pounds or whatever as far as guys wanting to know I can.

5:27.4

I'll tell you one more question that we need to talk about that I'll forget if I don't say it now is that our components accept standard any standard head or point it's not a deep six.

5:41.4

That I get that tons and tons and tons we could you you can put any standard broad head or point in in these components in saying that though I will say that some field tips especially the real chief ones are not machined to very tight tolerances and we machined our components to extremely tight tolerances so.

6:03.4

If you get a few field points that won't go in it's just kind of crappy field points you you really almost.
