I was recently a guest on another podcast called the Happiness Lab on the show, Yale professor,

Dr. Laurie Santos shares these surprising research and insights and inspiring stories

that change the way people think about happiness.

I love the 80s.

What I can remember of them.

So in this episode, I tell Dr. Santos that I don't want to wallow in nostalgia about the

music or fashions or the events of my youth too much.

And Laurie says that happiness science backs me up on this.

She tells me that our memories of the past can be very selective and very unreliable, causing

us to misremember events and then cast them in a rosy glow.

And so we talk about this and why it causes so many of us to make bad decisions and what

happiness means for us in the future.

So anyway, it's really fun.
