Our subject this evening, we don't have a whole lot of time, and I just spent all that time introducing myself anyways.

Our subject this evening is not exactly the kind of subject that, you know, if we had put out on the sign, tonight, prophetic evidence that J.D. Vance is the coming Antichrist or something like that. The place

would be full. We'd have all sorts of people in here. But talking about the natures of Christ,

what in the world are we talking about? Well, let's look at a couple of passages of scripture

and then dive into this.

If you'll turn with me to 1 Corinthians chapter 2, verse 8, I believe is where we are here.

1 Corinthians chapter 2, verse 8.

Well, I guess we can go back to verse 7, but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom

which has been hidden, which God predestined before the ages to our glory, which another

rulers this age has understood, for if they had understood it, they would not have, and please

look at the last phrase, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. They would not have

crucified the Lord of Glory. Now, the phrase the Lord of Glory is an exalted phrase. This is the type of language that is descriptive of

Yahweh God in the Old Testament. I think most of you probably know that the pronunciation

Jehovah, even though the Jehovah's witnesses will tell you otherwise, is really not even a possible

pronunciation of what the divine name was in the Old Testament.

Yahweh is the better way of rendering that, but Yahweh is described as glorious in the Old Testament,

and this, of course, is talking about Jesus because it's someone who is crucified,

but how do you crucify the Lord of Glory?

The Lord of Glory is God.

He's the creator.

He's the maker.

You can't crucify a spirit.
