Hey everybody. On this edition of On One with Angela Rye, I have the opportunity to sit down

with presidential candidate and senator Kamala Harris. We talk about her new criminal justice

reform plan to transform the criminal justice system and reinvision public safety in America.

We could not have that conversation without also talking about her record as a prosecutor.

The California State Attorney General and also her record that she's building as a senator

in Congress. We also have a secondary conversation that I moderate with three other people who are

really into what's happening in the criminal justice system. Those people were de-wotkins,

Jamira Burley and Philip Atiba Gough. The conversation was enlightening, it was challenging,

but I also think we had an enlightening conversation on the path forward. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

the things that you told me probably a little over a year ago and I have since used it in speeches

is that in this work I was lamenting over the 2016 election and just I probably complained for 20

minutes and you said that in this work you're not alone. And since then you've decided to embark

on I think one of the most challenging probably in a lot of ways lonely journeys.

Well, having conversations like this, it's about there's so much more

to this process for me personally than the pundits and the pollsters. And for me it really is about
