How do you go about keeping your stuff dry on your Hikes, Pop Bear?

There doesn't seem to be a right or wrong answer, but it seems like everybody has an opinion,

and they feel very sterile only about what they use.

What exactly do you do to keep your stuff dry and what is your system when you're on backpacking trips?
