Today is June 21st and it's the summer solstice and Father's Day. And on this date in 2009, Greenland officially assumed expanded self-rule,

taking over judicial, police, and natural resource responsibilities from Denmark.

On this date in 2026, they still don't want to be part of the U.S. Just saying.

And starting with foreign policy.

In a funny twist of political fortunes,

Obama lightly criticized Trump's Iran deal.

Italy's prime minister says Trump is making up the story

about her asking for a photo with him.

Somebody's claiming Trump lied. Shock.

Cuba is approving free market reforms.

In a nonsensical speech, Hexseth announced a review of U.S. forces in Europe.

I'll be doing a whole video on this,

but Hegset seemed to suggest the U.S. was the primary defender of Europe, which is just it's false. Ukraine has been hammering Russian oil infrastructure with drones, even hitting sites in Moscow.

There are even reported gas shortages in Russia now.

Trump has denied the $300 billion investment fund for Iran is real, even though it's literally in the document

and he initialed it. Iran is telling ships transiting the strait to register with its new

Persian Gulf strait authority, even though there aren't fees right now. This is a clear indication that Iran plans on maintaining

control of the strait for a long time, and the negotiations aren't likely to change that.

U.S. Iran talks were delayed, but there's a possibility that a ceasefire in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah might allow them to proceed.
