Riverdale, number one, he's not Citizen Kane. And the episode is called Citizen Lodge and I guess they both give up their families for business, but I don't know.

Welcome to Riverdale Roundup. MJ, how do you feel about it? I am a little bit like,

scared to record this episode even because I don't know yet how I feel. I need someone to tell me how to feel. I will say, I know one thing about how I feel.

I feel like I'm pretty sure it's Barkon Swylos's kid. I'm like 99.9% sure that Jackie said that. And then finally Gidey was like, I'll just look it up.

I'm just like, yes, it is Barkon Swylos's kid. And that did make me very happy and I thought it was very cute. And then I kept thinking about the other kid who had walked in on him and Kelly were having sex.

So I had generally very positive feelings about young Iron Lodge being played by Mark and Swylos's kid. 100% tooth thumbs up. A million thumbs up. I actually thought that Mark and Michael Consuelos' performances were delved.

Yes. I was very into it. I think it's very cute because the more that I read about with Michael Consuelos, which yes, is Mark and Swylos' son, he was just not even how close his family is.

They're all very close to each other and part of something that he loves to do is they mimic each other constantly.

So he's like, I've worked on making fun of my father my entire life. So getting paid to his sentient make fun of my father is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

He's working with an acting coach. He's trying like, he's like, I watched a bunch of episodes back to back trying to get like the tension in his jaw.

The cadence. Now he's like the confidence. He did a great fucking job. He honestly did like he was an incredibly accurate hire him.

Like he he absolutely was you could tell it was like studied. It also felt weirdly like deja vu because we didn't even end up talking about it on page 7.

But I've been thinking a lot about James Gandalfini's son playing. Oh my goodness.

And of course that's like, you know, a higher echelon of acting, mistakes and performance and you know, legacy to carry on as the son of an actor, Riverdale slightly smaller potatoes.

But I was like truly impressed by Michael Consuelo's capturing of the way that Hiram speaks his posture.

He like, whatever I still don't know how I think about the storyline, like he really did a good job of being like, this is how a teenager could become this like prick of a man. Like he really did it.

Yes. And if you listen Riverdale round up and you don't watch Riverdale, this is a bottle of soda. It is all about Hiram's origin story.

For some reason, even though they are in the middle of if you remember last week, unpackaging 17 plot. You know what?

Why don't we put it all on old and just let's get into Hiram's origin story because we got to know more about palladium.

And how in fact, Jeff and I almost got into an argument about palladium last night. We have a lot of feelings about this episode. And I do, I think my favorite part about this episode is that Mark and Swalos played his father by slapping a mustache on and that is real acting.

I don't need a Nicole Kidman that's going to pretend to be Masha for eight months. I need a man that's going to slap a mustache on and go, bam, I'm my father.
