actually in so many places around

We know that so many of you from around the world are listening to this podcast.

So when things get tough, it's really important, perhaps even more important to find ways

to laugh.

That's why I wanted to talk with someone who is equal parts, hilarious, and thoughtful about

navigating the world as a trans person.

That person is stand-up comedian, actor and writer River Butcher.

We had a wide-ranging conversation about masculinity, Hollywood, and the complications around pronouns in the

entertainment industry, and so much more.

I wish that I could just use he hem in all places and have people see me the way that I wish

to be seen, you know, but I truly like, as soon as I said, okay, to my agent, like,

okay, I'll audition for non-binary parts again.

I got auditions.

But before we get to this incredible and all smiles conversation, let's start out, as always, with some trans joy. They say that laughter is the best medicine.

And that's especially true for stand-up comedian and actor Terence Dugan.

He's the host of T-for-T, a monthly stand-up show featuring all trans comedians in New York City.

Since 2022, Terrence and co-creator Ella Yorman have hosted over 100 up-and-coming trans comedians.

And T-4-T recently celebrated its two-year anniversary with a lineup of over 80 incredible performers at the Bell House in Brooklyn.

Here's Terrence to tell us more about how he's been able to celebrate his gender identity on the T for T stage.
