0:23.6	Sessolognes. This is the part where Paul is applying what we've learned about the
0:28.4	gospel to the rest of their life. The basic argument of First Sessolognes is
0:33.2	there's some relationships that have influence on your life, but there's some
0:37.2	relationships that reorient every other relationship in your life. We talked
0:42.7	about this last week. Marriage or having kids does this. Entering these relationships
0:47.4	reorient you to every other relationship. And it's the foremost a relationship
0:52.5	with God does that. That if someone has an intimate relationship with Almighty God
0:56.9	like the Sessolognes did for three chapters. Paul celebrated to them. Hey, you
1:00.7	heard about the grace of God, his kindness moving towards you in the Son of God
1:05.0	Jesus. You embraced that forgiveness through the life, death and resurrection of
1:09.2	Jesus. You were knit together in a personal relationship with God. Paul's been
1:12.7	celebrating that. And now we're saying that relationship with God reorient your
1:17.0	relationship to everything else. And we would expect this. Whether you're a
1:21.3	Christian or not, you know if you had a relative come to you and say, hey, I just
1:26.3	had a profound encounter with the maker of the universe. And it's completely
1:30.5	reoriented my life. And I now have an intimate relationship with the maker of
1:34.6	the stars. If a relative told you that, you'd expect to see some changes in the
1:40.7	way they talk and the way they treat people and the way they handle money. And if
