We live in a day and age where anxiety and depression are front and center for many and there are many hypotheses to why this is.

One of the most popular is the invention of smartphones. With

smartphones we are constantly in a state of being reachable by others. We find

ourselves mindlessly scrolling social media leading us to comparison and

we don't really live in the moment appreciating our current state or talking to people

around us instead we have our head down looking at a screen. I know that I am

guilty of this. Gavin, do you find yourself guilty? All the time and it's always a

reminder to me on a certain, I think it's like on Sunday when I get the

notification that says oh here's your weekly screen time oh do I do I want to see

how bad of a person I was this week yeah Yeah that makes sense. Well one high school is taking the

reins on this issue with their students. They noticed a lack of engagement in

class as well as lots of drama between kids so they made the decision to ban cell phones.
