Many of you in this room have written, and understandably about our teams that the worst place to be, for example, is to be a middle-of-the-road team, either be great or be bad, because then that will help you with the draft. And so in many cases, you have fans of those teams. It's not what they want to pay for to see poor performance on the floor, but they're actually rooting for their teams in some cases to be bad. Sure, there are some fans, many fans who might say, you know, lose games on purpose, tank,

do whatever you can to hopefully win the lottery. But there are a lot of fans that go to the games

who aren't there to see us get blown out every game. You talked about your guys, your philosophy

of wanting to always stay competitive and never wanting to be a tank team.

You guys have to start taking a look at that philosophy and saying, hey, there's a time and a

place to do this and maybe we have to be more prudent in changing our philosophy of always

be competitive, always strive for the play-in game. Well, first of all, Joe, you know I never

strive to be in the play-in tournament only. Like, that was never the Well, first of all, Joe, you know I never strived to be in the play-in tournament only.

Like, that was never, never the goal. Second of all, we don't know where the lottery changes are

happening. So it's really hard to say that right now.

After that, and knowing that there was anti-tanking legislation potentially coming,

I surmised Gabe Ramirez that the league policy was going to come back to meet the Bulls'

traditional striving for the middle.

Like, it's going to help, you know, rationalize their perspective and rationalize their attempts.

And I wonder if that's where we are.
