that we have two amazing guests, Ryan Johnson, the fantastic director most recently of the

last Jedi Star Wars and Karina Longworth, formerly of the LA Weekly Film Critic and probably

one of the best podcasts out there, you must remember this. Highly recommend you listen

to her narrate some of the lost stories of old Hollywood. I think it sheds a lot of

cool light on present day culture. I've gotten to know Ryan and Karina over the past couple

of years and I'm trying really hard in this podcast to not geek out. Number one, number two,

this is incredibly nerve wracking and in retrospect, I wish that I had just had one person to

interview because there are two individuals that I respect enormously and I was a little

bit nervous and I think you can hear that because I don't know what to do and what I mean

I don't know what to do is this is a different form for me. I'm stuck in a kitchen or not

doing things like this on the norm and while I've done TV, I think the podcast is a completely

different medium and I'm going to try my best to get better at this but I didn't want

to mess anything up for Ryan or Karina. The one thing I want to say is this is I don't

know in the interview I expressed how much of a fan I was of last Jedi when I originally

sought on opening night. I didn't know if last Jedi was what I was expecting and because

of that I wasn't disappointed I was confused, I was angry because I didn't expect Ryan

to take the trajectory of the most recent Star Wars 2 level that had never happened before

in the previous franchise. It was completely new, it was completely different and in so

many ways I felt like it challenged me and it took me a long time to process and then

I saw it again and then I saw it again and I've probably seen it a dozen times at home
