John chapter 8, that's where we'll be this morning.

And we're going to look at a lady that got busted this morning.

And I want to ask you a question, what represents being caught to you?

Is it the police officer that you happen to see when you're coming from Ringgold into

Dalton?

You make the turn around going towards Tunnel Hill, and he's always sitting right there.

And even if you're doing the speed limit, you still break check just to make sure. Why? Because that guy's there to bust you if you're doing the speed limit, you still break check just to make sure.

If you pull up at a red light and you see him behind you in your mind, you're wondering,

okay, did he see me run that red light two weeks ago?

It was pink.

It was in between yellow and red, but I went on through.

Is he here to bust me? Or if you don't wear your seatbelt,

like you should, you're kind of sneaking it on and talking to yourself so he doesn't see it, right?

Why? Because a police officer represents being caught. He's also there to help you.

Now, a lot of people have a view of God as this heavenly cop, don't they? I think, oh, God is just

out to bust me. God's just out to

catch me, to bust me to make me feel like I'm a horrible person. He's there to shine the flashlight
