Welcome to The Lost to Betta Show for Politically Ecclectics. I'm Robbie Gupta. And in a bit, we're going to talk to Catherine Eban from Vanity Fair all about the Make America Healthy Again Movement, RFK Jr., etc. She is somebody, I would say, who has a different perspective than Bethy McLean, who we had on before the holidays, who I would say was probably

like a little bit more sympathetic to the Make America Healthy Again movement than Catherine is.

And so you'll get a different perspective there.

But before we get there, just a couple of life updates and then at least one net news item

that caught my attention.

I am over in Costa Rica. I've been here for the past few weeks. I'll probably be here until the

end of the month. I've been working on a number of projects, one of which is a book that I've

been working on, which I just signed a deal with a Harmony, which is an imprint of Penguin Random House. And this is going to be a book

about my approach to learning and how I focus on one skill or passion every year and kind of use

that, the lessons I learn in the classroom to achieving something every year, whether it's

learning to surf or writing a novel or writing a screenplay,

participating in powerlifting events and all that.

So that will be really fun to just get that over the finish line.

But relatedly, I have a novel coming out in March of this year,

and I'll have more to say about that in the next couple months.

That will be with a smaller publisher.

And in gearing up for that, I've finally gotten on Goodreads, which if you don't know it is a website where people

just review books. As you could imagine, just from listening to this podcast, I read a lot of books.

And so I've just started to catch up on, I try to put one new book that I'm reading right now and then one old book that I've read so I can catch you up on books that I've read before. But you could find me at Ravi M. Gupta and Goodreads. We also put a link in the show notes there. Follow me because I just put it up there and I can use some followers and I'm going to use that to

talk about a lot of the books that I use for preparation for this podcast and outside of the

podcast. And I try to mix in longer reviews with short reviews, which are just a couple
