Robert F. Kennedy Jr. survived a Senate Finance Committee vote this morning, along party lines, meaning he's one step closer to becoming the Health and Human Services Secretary.

Mr. Kennedy, if confirmed, will have the opportunity to deliver much-needed change to our nation's health care system.

He has spent his career fighting to our nation's health care system. He has spent his career

fighting to end America's chronic illness epidemic and has been a leading advocate for health care

transparency, both for patients and for taxpayers. That was committee chair Mike Crapo on

RFK before he voted yes. Here's ranking member Senator Ron Wyden with why he voted no.

Mr. Kennedy has given us no reason to believe there will be anything other than a rubber stamp

for plans to gut Medicaid and rip health care away from the American people

and be a yes man if ordered by Musk or Trump to take an illegal action.

Republican Senator Bill Cassidy was a wildcard,

because as a doctor, he expressed concerns about RFK Jr.'s views on vaccines.

But he ended up voting yes, saying in a post on X that he had intense conversations with the nominee in the White House,

where serious commitments were made.

RFK's nomination now advances to the Senate floor, and if all Democrats oppose him, he can

only afford to lose three Republican votes to be confirmed.
