As you try to sit up, you feel the strain under which your flesh and bones labor.

Touching your hand to the back of your head, you feel a large bump.

Did you fall?

Were you struck?

Where exactly are you?

Your mind races about, struggling to keep up with your eyes as they flicker back and forth,

looking for information in the dark room.

A familiar voice booms into the room, carried in from a long and well-lit corridor.

You struggle to your feet and follow the gruff tones out of the darkness and into the stone corridor.

You're nearly blinded by the light pouring through the arched windows,

but you can see well enough that you're still very much in 1066 AD.
