As long as we've been covering this case, we were all obviously thrilled when an arrest was made.

However, this case has been open for in excess of, well, say, 12 to 13 years. And during

that time, expectations of the public have been high and been low and been at the point where

they thought that there might never be an arrest in this case. And it's a scary case because of all the young women

that were involved in this case. People looked into it as if could this be their daughter? Who is

this madman out there that's taking women off the street and dumping them by a beach near called Gilgo Beach.

And that's what was most disconcerting to people.

So Mr. Eurman's arrest last month came soon after a task force was formed,

examined every element of this case, and investigators focused upon collecting and retesting DNA

evidence as well as cell phone records. The three women that Mr. Eumann is accused of killing

have been contacted by several different burn of forms from two locations near his home on 1st Avenue in Massapequa Park

and near his office at 5th Avenue and 36th Street in Manhattan that would eventually link him to the crimes.

We have on the screen what is known as the Gilgo Four, the Marine Brainer Barnes, Melissa Bartolone, Amblin Costello, and

Megan Waterman. Since this case has become public, details about Mr. Eumman have surfaced.
