I'm Automotive News Coord producer Jake Nier sitting in for

Pete Bigelow this week. President Joe Biden's signature is on the inflation reduction act. The new law has the entire

auto industry and those of us who cover it digging through pages and pages of

policy trying to figure out exactly what this all means for people who help build and sell

cars and trucks.

My guest this week has also been piecing it altogether and says this is a game changer for efforts to get more

EVs on the road and to address climate change. That's huge for him and his company.

Ari Matusiac is a former Obama White House staffer and is the co-founder

and CEO of the nonprofit Rewiring America, which has a stated mission to launch a movement that electrifies everything.

We spoke right after the US Senate approved the Inflation Reduction Act.

First of all, tell us a little bit

about rewiring America. This is work you've been doing for a while now, you know, which
