I've always hated the fact that I've been incredibly impatient person.

I've been this way since I was a little kid.

I usually want things to have happened yesterday and my whole life I've just been hoping

that I could potentially cultivate a more patient personality.

But then I realized that there's been a lot of upsides to being impatient.

I think I was having a conversation with my husband where I said, you know, when there's

a challenge that emerges, my instinct is I want to problem solve immediately and I think

I was probably being quite self-critical.

My husband Jimmy pointed out to me, hey, you know that your impatience can also be a really

good thing too, right, Maya?

And I was like, no, I don't think so.

But in having the conversation with him, I realized that, yeah, it is an asset.

I do think that in a lot of ways I have been able to accomplish more in my life as a result

of being impatient.
