This is Climate One. I'm Greg Dalton. A feminist approach to the climate conversation begins over

150 years ago.

That's when a scientist named Eunice Newton-Foot first recognized the heating effect of CO2.

And she made this discovery by using, you know, glass bells and tubes with gas in 1856.

She was the first person to connect the dots between carbon dioxide and planetary warming.

Since then, Foote's predictions about climate change had become all too real.

But as we've tried to engineer our way to a solution, the systemic underpinnings of the problem, racism, capitalism, and patriarchy, have been harder to address. Women leaders in the climate movement are out to change that.

The work that we're doing is instigating or nurturing a feminist climate renaissance,

which is what we feel climate movement so desperately needs right now.

Can a feminine renaissance heal the climate?

Climate ones empowering conversations connect all aspects of the climate emergency.
