What do you do if you have made the cardinal sin of gardening and perhaps purchased some

soil that you wish you hadn't?

Maybe it's because of the manufacturer, maybe it is because of the results, maybe it was

just a cheap mix that really didn't perform that well for you or certainly won't perform

it for another year.

Well, that's the question that we have today from Melissa.

So, I started my garden in 2020, didn't know very much, and I bought 100% miracle grow

for my containers and in-ground beds.

I now know that that wasn't the best decision, and now that it's year two, it's losing nutrients

over time.

So, I was wondering if you had any good amendments or suggestions for how I should move forward

with my garden, knowing that price-wise, I can't really flip out everything all at once.

So, Melissa, I actually think you have not made as big of a mistake as you think you

have.

Now, I certainly do not purchase miracle grow myself.

That being said, it does work.

It's more of an ethics thing for me, but I wouldn't smurch anyone for buying it, sometimes

cost does matter in the garden, and certainly there are ways to conserve both money and time

by purchasing a mix like that sometimes.
