My ancestors were running away and they were actually sailing and the ship wrecked near the western coast of India.

They landed in India and the Indian community was like, Yala, come be a part of a community.

And they just ended up staying there. I think the Indian community, unlike the other communities,

welcomed us with open arms. We ended up staying there.

There are a couple of synagogues, Jewish schools, hospitals.

And as Jews, my ancestors or myself never had to hide our identity.

And we were accepted as one of their own.

For over 2,000 years, there have been Jews living in India.

your life like and how that related to Judaism?
