The church bells of York Minster are ringing out as the crowds gather around the cathedral. In a few minutes, King Charles and Queen Camilla will be driven up to the entrance for an ancient ritual called Maundy Money, an act of charity marking the end of Lent.

As I make my way through the crowd I can see parents with young children, older

couples waving Union Jack flags, families who've traveled here to see King Charles

just a few weeks before his coronation.

We actually stayed overnight, we've come from Glossop in North Derbyshire.
