What we plant, the seeds we tend set the promise of what's to come.

without facing what's been lost.

This episode we talked to Rowan White.

and the grief that we must feel to reconnect to their meaning.

She leads us to an exploration of how living in place

calls on us to acknowledge the vast tapestry

of relationships that we've always been a part of. These relationships

in fact birth us and mature us. To honor them is to be watered, to be grown, to be remembered.

Rowan White is a seedkeeper from the Mohawk community of Akwazasny,

and a passionate activist for indigenous seed and food sovereignty.

She's the educational director and the lead

mentor of Sierra seeds and as a farmer, leader, writer, and storyteller, Rowan is

deeply committed to a lifelong practice of embodied prayer.
