Okay, today Cody and I are back a week early to review the news and this is a conversation

filled with some incredible highs and some very tragic lows. We open by talking about responsibility in the backcountry

and discuss the outcome of a story we talked about in our December edition of reviewing the news.

That's episode number 391. It's about an Austrian man who was facing manslaughter charges for leaving his girlfriend on Austria's highest peak.

From there, we talk about the fact that this winter has seen a significant number of avalanche deaths in the Northern Hemisphere,
