Joining me as always to run the rule over week 17 of the NFL season, Nick hauling of Sky Sports.

Nick, a happy new year to you and I guess another thrilling NFL regular seasons in the books

and it did go right down to the wire at least with the Rams and the Seahawks.

Yeah, and a happy new year to you too. And it was just another weird old season.

You know, every year we seem to say it's weirder than ever, but it really did seem to be

a very, very strange.

You couldn't get a handle it right from the start, apart from, you know, one thing you

could rely on the second half of's start with the Patriots.

And we'll look at the number one seeds in both conferences to kick off the show.

And New England, they're just so ruthless, aren't they?

In a game where they were already locked into their position,

they didn't need to play any of their stars.

There's Tom Brady, throwing the ball around as well as he has done

for the entire season, and they put 38 points up on the dolphins. That's kind of what we've come

to expect, though, isn't it, of these Patriots? Yeah, I mean, it's Belichick's default position,

isn't it? That's all he knows. He doesn't really know anything else. And, you know, I think we've seen this in the past with other teams as well as much as a team can say, well, yeah, you know, we don't have to worry about it,

and we rest starters and all that sort of stuff. The bottom line is, there's only one where you can

actually play this game, and that is full on, no matter who's out there. And if you, even if you've had a dropping off of talent potentially, but the backups are playing hard to get some good film with themselves down,

and to try and catch the other coaches.

I mean, you saw that with Philadelphia.
