What up, fam. It's 2026, obviously. And a lot of people are making resolutions, a lot of people

are making weight loss resolutions or just better health resolutions in general. So because of everyone's resolutions

and idea of dieting, I wanted to bring to light reverse dieting because I think that

not a lot of people know about this, but more importantly, even if you do know

about it or if you are on a weight loss journey or you're just trying to lose the holiday weight,

whatever the case may be, I think people approach weight loss in the wrong way, especially when they're trying to lose fat,

and they mistakenly lose muscle as well.

And I think weight loss and fat loss should be in two separate categories.

Unfortunately, a lot of people do lose muscle, and that's something we don't want to lose. But I wanted to talk today about reverse dieting.

And I feel like I'm just going off on tangents here. But reverse dieting is an eating plan that

involves gradually increasing your calorie intake over a

period of several weeks or months to boost metabolism and help your body burn more calories

throughout the day. So it's basically eating more but but gradually increasing to, aka, lose weight or

maintain weight or increase your metabolism. And we all want a great metabolism, right? So it's

quite popular among bodybuilders and often followed after a calorie restricted diet

by those looking to return to a normal eating pattern without gaining extra weight or fat.

So the goal, obviously, people that go on a quote unquote diet to lose, you know, whatever, five pounds,

10 pounds, they often can't get back to their regular eating habits because they have

decreased their calories so much that now their body has adapted.
