In the Bible, there's truly a tale of two cities.

There are two key cities spoken about in scripture from cover to cover that kind of wind

their way through prophetically, and that's what we're going to talk about today.

Yeah. what we're going to talk about today. So today we're continuing our series on Revelation, the series we thought that we would do in one

episode that has turned into a six or seven part episode because we love it so much

and there's so much rich content and we're

getting so much great feedback from you guys but today we're we're in chapter 17 and 18 of

the book of revelation where we talk about a key city and that's Babylon and that's juxtaposed

against Jerusalem and this is really kind of a hairy subject in some ways in that it's an in-house

debate. There's even with Bible-believing dispensational pre-trib folks, there are a few different

views. There's a, and we'll get into this in more depth for sure, but there's a kind of a religious

Babylon. There's a political Babylon. Some people say it's

really just a system and a global system versus a city. Some people try to say that it's America.

But Jeff and I are going to unpack that today and give you the best that we can give you based on what we see

through the totality of scripture. So, Jeff, what do you think? We're talking about Babylon today.

Yeah, absolutely. Yeah,

absolutely. And, you know, Babylon is a key city in all of Scripture, really. They're over somewhat about 300 different times Babylon is mentioned in the Bible. And to really kind of understand

the significance of why this city is important in Revelation is that you go all the way back

to Genesis, I believe it's chapter 11, when Nimrod, you know, leads this project to build a

skyscraper up to heaven. They wanted to, it was a stairway to heaven for them, and they wanted to

basically cast off God's way of doing things and do it themselves
