And I was talking to a young woman the other day who has been listening to these

podcasts about Revelation. She's like,

oh my gosh, I just love this 10,000 foot view of Revelation. And I said, yeah, we've been kind of

helicoptering down to about 500 feet a couple of times, you know, but we're getting back up there.

So she's like, no, no, it takes as long as you want. So, but it's great to kind of walk through

the book of Revelation and kind of connect the dots here as long as you want. But it's great to kind of walk through the book of Revelation

and kind of connect the dots here as much as possible. And right now we're kind of in a

section of Revelation that's sort of a parenthesis. Now, maybe make a comment about that

and talk about how maybe, you know, God's storywriting technique

maybe mirrors some of the ways that movies are made today, don't you think?

It really does, you know, I mean, the Bible is narrative in nature.

You know, when you study the different genres and throughout the Bible, it's very clear that

God is an amazing storyteller himself. And the way Revelation's

written in particular, there are chronological sections, but then chapters 10 through 14 are parenthetical.

And I always say it is kind of like a feature film where you have flash forwards and flashbacks

and, you know, even, you know, cross-cut scenes that,

that tie in with existing scenes. So you almost have to read it with that mindset when you get
