At the height of World War II, the Nazis came up with a deadly bomb.

It's called the V1 Flying Bomb.

These jet propelled 1,800-pound bombs were launched from the French coast with a deadly aim on the city of London.

In fact, they launched thousands of them.

The V1 killed 6,000 people and wounded 17,000 others.

And when the people of London heard the drone of a buzz overhead, they had one prayer,

and it went like this, Lord, keep the engine running. And you say, why? Why do they want the engine

that the jet keeps going?

Because they knew that when the bomb started to dive into the ground, it becomes silent.

And while the noise of the engine frightened them, the silence frightened them even worse.

Because the silence meant that the bomb is already

diving toward the ground. Sometimes silence can be deafening, can be frightening. Sometimes silence can be

a pause before the real Catholicismic event about to take place. And in chapter 8,

we come to the seventh and the final seal, just to remind you that the lamb had the scroll

in his hand contained the future of planet Earth and had seven seals, and six of those were opened,

and we saw them in the last message. Here we come to the seventh and the final, after an intermission

between the six and the seventh. John writes, when the Lamb opened the seventh seal,

there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

I'm sure you're asking, why is this silence in heaven? Or John doesn't tell us why?

But there's some possibilities. One possibility is that it could be God's way of granting humanity one last chance for the doors of mercy to be open before it is shut and the judgment becomes final.

The second possibility, it could be the calm before the final judgment.

This silence is the silence of awe and expectation before the final judgment
