Today we sit down with former congressman and former governor of the state of Louisiana, Governor

Bobby Jindal.

Governor Jindal's new Prager You video is titled What Unites Americans?

Where he discusses the ideas behind the greatest unifier of people that the world has ever seen,

the United States of America.

He argues that no matter your ethnic origins, adopting the

American idea is what makes you fully American, not the color of your skin. Let's jump right in.

Governor, thanks so much for joining me. Georgia, thank you so much for having me. It's a great

privilege to be here with you. One of the key messages in your video is if you adopt the American idea, you are fully American. How would you describe the American idea? Well, sure. Well, first of all, Georgia, you know, it's a, as Americans, and think about this, this is what's so great and unique about America.

It really doesn't matter whether you trace your ancestors, you know, generations ago to the

Revolutionary War or your ancestors came here more recently.

We can all be fully American.

It really is about embracing our history, our values, and our ideas.

You know, a great definition of the American idea.

There was a radical preacher, an abolitionist preacher, Theodore Parker, who preached about the American idea.

Maybe the first really right and preach about this about having three components, the idea that all of us are created equal.
