choice. Many Christians are involved in a fatal attraction. This is a harmful situation that has

captured our minds and hearts and has drawn us away from God.

It has dumbed down our experience of his reality because it is so, so attractive.

The word for it is worldliness, that fatal flaw that keeps us from knowing God as he wants to be known

in our experience. The world is the love that God hates. And if we ever capture God's understanding

of the world, when he uses it in a negative way in Scripture, that it will be a transforming

experience and his reality working to us in us and through us will be manifested at an

awesomely higher level. In 1 John chapter 2, we are commanded in verse 15,

do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the

father is not any. What do we mean by the world and thus worldlyness? The definition of the world

as it is used in the negative sense in Scripture is that system headed by Satan that leaves God out.

John says in 1 John chapter 5, verse 19, these words, we know that we are of God and that the whole

world lies in the power of the evil one. So Satan runs this world. The Greek word cosmos

is a system when we say the world of sports. We are talking about anything that has to do with
