Time Traveler Game published by Sega, but actually developed by the designer of Dragon's

layer. So Time Traveler was a quote-unquote holographic video game, but it wasn't really that.

So basically, what it did was use visual trickery with mirrors to sort of project the characters

in front of you as if they were freely standing in front of you and the background was behind them.

So it was sort of like a virtual boyish, sorry not virtual boy, but like 3ds kind of 3d

fakery where there's like one layer in front and one layer in the back except in this case, the

front layer was being projected in front of you. It's very hard to describe.

It's honestly just kind of a riff on some very old arcade technology space invaders. If you've

ever played an original space invaders cabinet, it's one of those games that actually has a screen

that's upside down and kind of in the base of the screen area. And then it projects up into a mirror.

So it's kind of projected against the like the moon surface background that it takes place over.

And so you're just seeing, you know, it's like the same kind of projection technology that

Air Force pilots use on their heads up display to display on their helmet visor as they're flying.

So it's really kind of building on technology that was more than a decade old in our

kids at that point, but they just presented it in a different way and said, this is holographic and

had the full motion video in there. So it seemed like it was actually a lot more advanced and
