I didn't expect to be reviewing

random episodes of raw which we are doing today because we're going

back to May 10th 1999.

Although there is a reason for this, because it is the highest rated ever

episode of W. W. W. W. F. as it was was known then, it's not hard to see why. It is so crazy.

W. C. W. was also falling off a cliff and hadn't won in the head-to-head battle since October

1998 and after this night they would never ever win it again.

I mean they had been preempted by the NBA Pios but it just meant every

single wrestling fan on the planet only had one product to watch and they all tuned in to the

World Wrestling Federation. Because around this time Raw stretched its margin to

around about two to one and then it just zoomed off into the distance to the

point they just stopped mentioning it.

It'd be like me coming on here and going ha ha ha ha ha ha I get to breathe all the oxygen and you'd be like,

yeah I get to breathe it too. There's no need to make a sing and dance about it.

It just is what it is.

But yeah, because Raw had no competition, it meant when the ratings came in,

it did an 8.1 and 8.1. That is around 10 million viewers. Do you know what the most recent episode of Raw did? A 1.8! Where did all these people go? I tell you where they want. they got chased off because of nonsense.

Just to really establish what a monster this was, it is the second highest rate it ever

pro wrestling show on the USA network.

And do you know what gets into number one the original Royal

the main event overrun also did absolutely insane figures I mean go look them up
