And we personally on this show, Professor Mike, Phil Grimaldi, myself retired NYPD sergeant, Bill Cannon,

had Dr. Joni Johnson, a forensic psychologist on the show, say, there is no doubt this is psychosexual sadistic in nature.

And I never heard a single investigator from Idaho even mention anything like that.

We had retired FBI agent Jim Clementi say this is a psychosexual sadistic killer.

So what were they missing?

Did they not have access to the same people we had as podcasters?

What were they missing?

Bill, I think what they were doing, and we've alluded to this before in the past few months,

was that by playing down the amount of evidence they had against them,

playing down the savagery of the attacks, playing down the fact that there was stalking,

playing down the fact that this might have been a psychosexual killing,

getting rid of all that and putting that aside so the public at the time

did not know about those sorts of things. I think in Brian and Bill Thompson's mind and everyone else's

mind made it easier to sell to the public this plea deal, made it more palatable to the community.

But after now, you're finding out that, oh, yeah, oh, there was a savagery, there was this

stalking. People are saying that there was a psychosexual component to it. Now that they know that,

they're more upset than ever because it was hidden. But at the time that

they went with that plea deal, he wanted to sell, he actually wanted to lower expectations of the

prosecution's case. So therefore, it would look better to the public that they accepted a plea deal. He

undersold his own case. He had everything going for him and he didn't want to do the trial.

He didn't have the intestinal fortitude to see it through to the logical conclusion.
