He could have made it so that Adam never had to go to sleep. He could have created man and woman so that they had endless physical energy and resources.

Because it is God's daily reminder built into the creation, built into the very ebb and flow of life.

and he rested on the seventh day from all his work, which he had made made and God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it

because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Can I just tell you rest is not a dirty word?

In fact, it is a holy word. It is first connected to God. If you look at Genesis chapter 2 verse number three,
