Hello and welcome back to Sootriology 101. Today we're going to be talking about spiritual

0:12.9

deadness. What does it mean when the Bible says you're dead in sin or that you're dead in your

0:18.5

separation between you and the father? We of course have had several videos on this particular topic, and we're going to be responding to a fellow Calvinistic brother who posted a broadcast on his YouTube page, and he did so pretty cordially, in fact.

0:33.8

His name is Jacob Trotter, I believe you'll see that in just a minute.

0:36.8

But the only thing that he says it's any what derogatory, in my opinion, he was very respectful except for the opener where he said that I'm making a career of attacking Calvinism. The truth of the matter is my career is evangelism and apologetics for Texas Baptist. I do the podcast of Triology 101 on the side. So my career is evangelism. It has been for many years prior to me ever starting the podcast. The reason I put that on a separate page and a separate location is that it doesn't interfere with the other aspects of my ministry because, unfortunately, the contention of the satriological debate can kind of overrun every other discussion. And so I would rather not have evangelism be overrun by the Calvinistic debate on my other pages. And so I've created a separate page for that. So just to be clear, if you click on, matter of fact, the the, the, the sociology 101 page, there's that link right here it says is Calvinism all you

1:28.9

talk about and you can learn more about my other aspects of my ministry and what I do I just usually

1:33.1

keep those separated so that you can understand them better and pointing to the website is important

1:38.7

because many of you ask questions online and through messenger and email and other things that I just honestly don't

1:45.1

have the time to get to and I apologize for that. There's a search feature right here and a lot of

1:49.2

the questions you have can be found here and maybe on the Facebook page if you post your questions

1:54.7

there. If I can't get to them, then some of our other resident scholars can answer those and engage

1:59.9

with you on those particular

2:01.2

questions. And please be cordial doing that, by the way, even if you disagree with someone, please

2:04.9

try to act in a brotherly way in a way that would edify the body, not the way that would tear it

2:11.8

down. That's hopefully the example I've given here on this particular podcast. And you'll see there,

2:17.2

my latest one is called the Unwanted Child, which Dr. White, I just heard,

2:20.8

responded to this.

2:22.3

And so once I have chance to listen to that, I may reply back and just stay tuned for that.

2:29.7

So we'll get back into that a little bit later.

2:31.6

But today I want to really focus on this concept of deadness.

2:35.7

It kind of gets into it here on the no one can do good.

2:38.5

And then there's one in here.
